My background is.... ?

My ancestry is a mixture of Christian and Jewish. I grew up unaware of my Jewish origins reflecting the anti-semitism that prevailed at that time. My background was British middle class.

I felt/feel farthest from Home.......

In downtown New York -exciting but not like home.

For me, Home is...

.. where I live now. Its my paradise and I don't want to be anywhere else. Its is wonderfully secluded piece of nature, where I sit and gaze at it all with awe and wonder.

I remember as a child........

At the age of eight I was sent to boarding school. I was very homesick, and longed to get letters and parcels from my mother. At the end of each term I was always the last boy to be collected .

Home, to me, looks like........
