My background is.... ?

Scottish, Edinburgh, from a long line of doctors on both sides of my family but with lots of sparky characters thrown in for hybrid vigour. All a bit "work ethic" - and I have inherited that too.

I felt/feel farthest from Home.......

In London about 1980, aged 20. Missed the train, given a hard time by the person I went with, and could not see any fields. Alien.

For me, Home is...

my family, familiar people, place, animals and things. Knowing where everything is and how it works or why it doesn't. My own bed. Home is a place to welcome people in and a refuge to shut them out.

I remember as a child........

Sitting on the arm of a sofa, yonger sister on the other arm, pretending we were galloping on horses.
